Overview

The Escalon Unified School District Department of Special Education is committed to ensuring that all students learn at high levels.  It is the responsibility of the department to develop assessment plans, evaluate and identify students suspected of having a disability, as well as develop Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) in accordance with state and federal law.  The department offers special education programs and services for students who are identified with an educational disability.  The department is committed to providing high quality instruction aimed at meeting the specific and unique needs of the students we serve.  Our goal is to promote success and personal independence as we work with all stakeholders.

Parent Information

This information provides you as parents, legal guardians, and surrogate parents of children with disabilities from three (3) years of age through age twenty-one (21) and students who have reached age eighteen (18), the age of majority, with an overview of your educational rights or procedural safeguards.
