In the 2013-14 school year, Escalon Unified School District became a Year 1 Program Improvement district. The 2013-14 school year was the last functional year of the No Child Left Behind Act and was the year that 100% of all students were to be proficient of higher as measure by the now defunct CST state assessment. Owing to this reclassification the Escalon Unified School District was required to submit an Addendum of their LEA plan to the California Department of Education. Additionally, owing to the district not meeting its Title III Annual Measurable Achievement Objectives for our English Learner Students we are now required to annually update the Title III section of the district’s LEA Plan with budget detail.
