Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year

Dear EUSD Community,

I am excited to welcome everyone back for the start of the 2023-2024 school year.  We are looking forward to a successful year and a continued partnership in the support of your children's education.  Escalon Unified School District (EUSD) will continue to offer access to various educational programs and opportunities for our students including: Gateway Home School Charter, Collegeville’s Dual Language Immersion Program, and various career and technical education pathways at Escalon High School.  We are confident that our comprehensive programmatic options will continue to meet the goals and needs of our students and families.

For the 2023-2024 school year, we will maintain our focus on what is best for our students. Our work within Professional Learning Communities (PLC) will remain student centered.  We will continue to implement our academic guaranteed standards and provide access to both intervention and enrichment opportunities consistent with student needs.  Our TK through 8th grade teachers will start implementing new science and social science curriculum.  District-wide we will dive deeper into math professional development that will support our teachers with the implementation of evidence based instructional practices.  We will continue our work in updating our school facilities consistent with our fiscal means.  I trust that these efforts will allow us the ability to continue offering safe and supportive educational environments.

EUSD has a long and proud tradition of excellence in education. I am proud and honored to work alongside EUSD employees who work diligently to ensure student safety and make learning a priority. Our Board of Trustees is committed to high quality instruction as well as providing our students with a variety of educational options that will ensure that they are truly college and career ready upon graduation from Escalon Unified.

We remain committed to our mission of serving and connecting with all students. We will do everything in our power to provide current students with the essential services they need to safely learn and graduate while maintaining fiscal solvency for our future students.

Thank you for your continued support of EUSD. The entire staff of the Escalon Unified School District looks forward to partnering with you in the upcoming school year to prepare your children to be our future leaders.

Sincerely,

Ricardo Chavez                                                                                                                                         Superintendent
