  • Superintendent Costa reported the district had no Williams Uniform Complaints for the quarter October 15, 2018.

  • Assistant Superintendent, Ricardo Chavez reported on the EUSD student performance on the 2017-2018 CAASPP.
  • Superintendent Costa reported that both the parade and homecoming for Escalon High School were a success. Staff members returned from Salt Lake City, Utah after attending the PLC conference. The district’s Facebook followers continues to grow, and in efforts to continue that growth a contest is underway, which allows teachers to submit photos and captions and be entered into a monthly drawing. A contest for students, parents, staff and community members will soon be initiated to change the district’s logo. Jack Shreder, the district’s facilities consultant informed the district the state will be selling $400 million in Prop 51 bonds. The district should be receiving confirmation within a week from the State Allocation Board to apply for state matching funds.

  • The board approved the opening of sealed bids, calling for oral bids and the approval of the highest sealed bid that meets the district’s bid requirements for the purchase of property located at the Collegeville school site and described in the attached Exhibit A.
  • The board approved the notice of completion for Engie Services U.S., Inc. (formally OpTerra Energy Services, Inc.) for the districtwide solar project.
  • The board thanked Hogan Manufacturing for their generous donation to Escalon High School. The board recognized Assistant Superintendent, Ricardo Chavez’ efforts on the CAASSP report, and the administrators for their Single Plans for Student Achievement and Safety Plans. The board congratulated Hailie Webster on being crowned Homecoming Queen.
