• The board held a Governance Workshop from 9:00am to 2:02pm. The Board reviewed the Board Self Evaluation and Updated the Governance Handbook.
  • Rex Robbins reported on behalf of Student Board Representative, Lily Franks. Spring sports are all underway and going very well. A Dodgeball Tournament will be taking place soon. The PIT Club put flowers and balloons on lockers for kindness week.
  • Superintendent Costa gave an update from Rick John on the EUSD construction projects.
  • Superintendent Costa reported the January 2018 Financial Report.
  • Principals reported on events taking place at their sites.
    • Collegeville and Farmington Elementary just completed SDRT where they discussed students’ needs. Dual Immersion parent informational meetings went very well.
    • Dent Elementary just completed Read Across America, where board members and other administrators participated.
    • Van Allen Elementary is having a motivational assembly with Kevin Bracey and next week is the Book Fair.
    • El Portal Middle School staff met with School City today to discuss data and how to assist students in need. A Rally took place today with all 650 student and it went very well.
    • Vista High School had 2 seniors and 1 junior graduate recently. The Army visited Vista to perform Mock Interviews with students.
    • Escalon High School students are busy balloting for next school year, with new courses available to students. The attendance incentive program is a hit, with 238 students with perfect attendance in February.
  • The board approved Resolution 17-18-14, authorizing transfer or funds for January 2018.
  • The board approved donations made to the Art Program of Farmington and Collegeville Elementary
  • The board approved the 2018-2019 Board of Trustees meeting schedule.
  • The board approved Board Policy Revisions as presented at the previous meeting.
